Before a manufacturer makes the full run of vinyl records for a release, they send a handful of test pressings to the artist/label to ensure that the audio has transferred over to the vinyl format properly. These are plain black records without the album branding, and once these are approved by the team, then the rest of the records are pressed. (If you were following along with the vinyl pressing saga, these contain the dreaded Cassandra pops that delayed the vinyl pressing process so much.)
These contain the full deluxe American Mythology track list, and each pressing is slightly unique given the specifics of manufacturing test pressing. Each one will be signed and numbered.
