Eurydice
Oh Eurydice, Eurydice you know you’ll be the death of me
I love you too much to not follow you down
Taken long before your time, the serpent stopped your heart and mine
But no journey’s too great for a heart so devout
So I will follow you down
Bend the rules of the mortals just to hold you now
My darling, holding your tongue
Nothing much to complain of, ‘cept you had been loved
Oh Eurydice, Eurydice you know you’ll be the death of me
I love you too much to not sing it aloud
A sonnet to the gods and kings played upon the lyre strings
Wet the eyes of the Furies so mournful the sound
And I will follow you down
Bend the rules of the mortals just to hold you now
My darling, holding your tongue
Nothing much to complain of, ‘cept you had been loved
Oh Eurydice, Eurydice you know you’ll be the death of me
I love you too much to not turn back around
